FAQ

What is Gaza Soup Kitchen?

Gaza Soup Kitchen is a grassroots Palestine NGO founded in early 2024 by brothers Hani and Mahmoud Almadhoun. Its mission is to provide hot meals and clean water to Palestinians in Gaza facing extreme food insecurity and risk of famine. Many donors worldwide choose to donate Palestine relief funds through Gaza Soup Kitchen to directly help Gaza families with food and water.

Where does the Gaza Soup Kitchen operate?

The first kitchen began in Beit Lahia, Gaza. Today, multiple kitchens serve communities across Gaza, preparing and distributing thousands of meals daily. Whenever possible, food ingredients are sourced locally to support the community and ensure sustainable Gaza food aid and Palestine donation efforts.

Who runs Gaza Soup Kitchen?

The founders are Hani and Mahmoud Almadhoun. Sadly, Mahmoud was killed in November 2024. The operations continue under Hani’s leadership, supported by a dedicated local team of staff and volunteers in Gaza. Many see Gaza Soup Kitchen as a symbol of a Gaza victim helping others despite hardship.

How many people are served?

At its peak, Gaza Soup Kitchen served around 3,000 people per day. Numbers vary depending on supplies, safety conditions, and access to ingredients. Every donation helps expand Gaza food distribution so more children and families can be reached with life-saving meals.

How is Gaza Soup Kitchen funded?

Gaza Soup Kitchen relies entirely on private donations from people around the world. Funds are used to purchase food, water, cooking fuel, and cover essential operations. By choosing to donate to Gaza Palestine, you directly support daily meal programs and help Palestine during its toughest times.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Gaza Soup Kitchen is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States (EIN: 99-4047997). All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by US law, making it easier for supporters to contribute to Palestine NGO donation programs.
